6G/3G/HD/SD-SDI Cable Driver

The M22428 is a high-speed, low-power, low-jitter cable driver. It is designed to drive serial digital video data through 75 Ohm coaxial cable typically used in SMPTE and DVB-ASI video applications. The M22428 cable driver is optimized for performance from 125 Mbps up to 5.94 Gbps. The M22428 features the support of 5.94 Gbps signals for Ultra High Definition TV (UHDTV)/4K applications. Output rise/fall times of the M22428 have been designed to exceed the SMPTE proposed standard for 6G, and supports the MADI audio standard. The output voltage swing is compliant with SMPTE 292M, 259M, 344M and 424M using a 750 Ohm ±1% resistor. The M22428 also features dual outputs with complement signal outputs which can be individually adjusted through internal register settings. In addition, the device also supports software mode through a four-wire, Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI).
